Russsell Falls

Plan for today - visit Russell Falls and then head for Hobart. As we can't check in to our Hobart hotel till 3.00pm, we plan to have time to visit the Hobart Botanic Gardens beforehand.

Left early and hoped that Hamilton might have somewhere to get some breakfast. We weren't too optimistic - rightfully as it turned out.

The old, closed, falling down pub had something attached to it that was pretending to be a cafe. The coffee was OK, but the only food we were game to try were muffins…

Heading for Russell Falls, Trish and Paul’s' GPS took them by a longer route and as we neared the falls, our GPS tried to take us the wrong way. Luckily, we could see road signs so were OK.

Russell Falls are only about a 15 minute each way walk from the visitor centre. There are other, longer walks as well.

The falls are as good as all the falls we've seen, and, like the others, with good paths and viewing platforms.
