New Year - and my birthday.I never celebrated it so far away from my homeland. And never I had such a good birthday!

We woke up at 4:30am to drive without breakfast to the "sol de la mañana", a vulcan at 5000m above sea level. With the rising sun in minus degrees we experienced this spectacular moment.

After that we visited the "arbol de piedra", a bizarre stony natural rock, polished by wind and rain. There's a legend about it: Once, it was a real tree, but when the spanish conquerors came to Bolivia, the Mayas ask the gods for power, and this tree gave it to them.
