Minamiuonuma Shi

Left the lodge today with Callum, a bit of a sad goodbye for him after spending two months there working as a lodger and a backcountry guide. But set off on the roadie round 2 with a quick lap up to the top of Hakkaisan, which had the fastest Cable Way Car in Japan and free Sake tasting at the top of the Mountain.
Pushed up past the top chairs to see what we could find in ways of untouched snow runs. Found a sweet ridgeline to cruise along, but only a few turns into our spot, found the snow really clumpy and a bit sketchy. So decided it would be a one and done kinda day. So rode back to the Van, before heading into Yuzawa to meet some friends, Walker and Hitomi (Lisa and Duffy's son and daughter-in-law) and sample some more Sake at a coin vending place with over 100 sales to try.

Then we had some angel cake that melted in your mouth, and back on the road to get to the Bandai area as there was a prediction of up to 10 cm coming in overnight.

We arrived just in time at night as the snow just started to accumulate.
