We arrived at the resort around 1 pm grabbed a quick bite, toured the facilities to get a feel for the lay of the land then headed to the room to get ready for dinner.

    What a view!

Drinks on the terrace and then dinner.

A nice dinner and an early turn in. What a day!

Started the day with breakfast and a short walk into town and around the resort. If you like a small town fell and gorgeous views consider this place.

Mary had a meeting in the morning then we walked a few blocks through town then headed out for an afternoon of horseback riding.

After returning to the resort I walked around and took some photos.

Dinner took use to Settlers Creek one of the nations historic sites. Oh what a night.

  • All is good!

    September 17, 2016 in the United States ⋅ 🌧 13 °C

A gloomy start to the day. Looks like it will rain into the evening.

After Mary's meeting we walked around town again and visited the shops we missed the pervious day. Found a few things the bring back.

Back to the room for a nap and a movie to avoid getting wet.

Dinner this evening was at the Hagadone Event Center east of the resort. A short boat ride and a walk up the hill to a nice facility. Then sun gave use a brief glimpse as we arrived. Dinner was very nice and the entertainment was a John Denver impersonator who did very well.

Returned the same way as we came to call it a day.

  • Return home

    September 18, 2016 in the United States ⋅ 🌫 11 °C

After a wonderful time in Coeur d'Alene it's time to go home. It starts with a early wake up (5:45), depart resort for a quiet 45 min ride to the Spokane airport. Board ATR-42 to Seattle then back to DFW arriving around 6:00 pm.

As always these trips are very nice and just long enough to rejuvenate ones spirits. If someone asks if you've been to Idaho and you haven't, think for a moment and respond "not yet" because you might find a place to reconnect with the beauty of this part of the country that sometimes gets over looked.

  • Layover in Seattle

    September 18, 2016 in the United States ⋅ ⛅ 17 °C

To get home we were booked through Seattle. Not a bad stop if your a Seahawks fan 😉.

I think I mentioned this on one of our previous trips but people watching is fun. You get to see all kinds, those who are about to miss their connection, Mom struggling with two or more kids, the retired couple that have all the time in the world and of course those who want you to know they are traveling [somewhere]. Seattle has a larger variate of these because it has a connection to the Far East. It's still a joy to just sit and watch.

Two and a half hours later we are on our way home.
