We took a 25-minute trip on the train out of Rome to visit the "City of Wine" - Fruscati. We were given a tour of the city (visiting a community wood-fired oven and sampling their smoked-pork sandwich) and then taken to a 9th generation family-owned winery surrounded by ancient vineyards and olive groves. We were told the history of the location and then set down to a three course lunch at the entrance their wine cellar - and of course we got to sample three of their wines. So fun!Read more
