Bled

We traveled by bus to Bled, Slovenia and spent one night there. Bled is a resort town with a lake, camping, tons of outdoor activities and lots of crowds. There is an island (the only one in the country) in the middle of the lake. We took a boat ride (manually rowed) to the island and toured a church there. There is a "lucky bell" in the church that you could pull the rope and ring. Pulling a rope and ring a church bell had always been on my (Eileen's) bucket list so I was thrilled to be able to do that. There also was a wedding at the church as well were getting ready to leave. Once back we had our first rain so we had something to eat and drink and enjoyed people watching.Read more
