Miguel & Matteo

For the 3 years I have been in Baja, it has been my pleasure to meet Miguel and his grandson Matteo. They ply the nearby beaches selling beautiful rugs & mezcal that their family makes in Quixaca. Their rugs are hand woven and dyed with colors from native plants, flowers, and even bugs. The mezcal is also made by his family, and each label has a picture of his grandfather on it. We all admire the beauty of his rugs, and it's very hard not to buy several. The mezcal is very smooth with no hangover, which I will personally attest to.
