Today we headed off to the famous Sticky Waterfalls . You can walk from top to bottom with ease due to the grippy texture of built up limestone. It felt slightly surreal being able to just walk up really steep sections and feel completely stable. We found a jungle crab half way up which wanted to fight me- which was funny. We walked top to bottom twice as it was so fun, the waterfall was about 120 mtrs high. What a brilliant place to visit! Top marks. Afterwards we grabbed some food, yet again local restaurant as we are in the middle of nowhere. Only banana trees, tea and rice plantations surrounded by jungle here. It's literally bliss, we love this area.
We had a bit of a bike tour stopping at a few points our resort guy recommended. It was about 1 1/2 hr drive through the jungle and fields, was literally so relaxing music on cruising around in the sun. No traffic about, apart from the odd farm vehicle. We stopped at the top of a dam and then headed to our last point which was a sacred waterfall and cave which has a permanent monk residing and meditating there. It was very cool to see and a beautiful area you can see how they meditate here, so tranquil. It was funny as a sign saying "be quiet as Monks meditating" yet he was blasting a petrol leaf blower. 😂. Really cool temple and was an adventure to get there on the moped. Top marks all round for today. We headed back then to watch Kalata Graduate her masters on the laptop. It was cool to set this up and watch from the other side of the world. Well done Larty!!! Dinner at restaurant ready to head back to Chiang Mai tomorrow for the Samoeng Motorbike Loop 💪 😁
