• Sigmaringen Castle!

    Next stop was Sigmaringen Castle, largely rebuilt in 1893 only the medical towers remain of what was and still is a large imposing building. The Hohenzollern Family are the owners of the castle and many German Emperors and kings of Prussia visited over the years. More recently, in the closing stages of WW2 the castle was briefly the seat of the Vichy French Government after France was liberated by the Allies.

    After we walked round the castle we walked around the town had a coffee in a Germany cafe (which included many fancy cakes) and had fun in the tiniest multi-story car park you’ve ever seen!
