Kirkjufellsfoss

Mt. Kirkjufell (463 m) is the mountain you can see in the photographs, it is the most prominent mountain in Grundarfjörður and the guide book said it is the most beautiful mountain on the Snæfellsnes peninsula, with some even say the whole of Iceland! The name is church mountain as it is said to resemble a church.

The mountain is also in game of thrones and is called Arrowhead mountain beyond the wall and is the birthplace of the Night King (if you’ve seen it you’d know).
