🌋 Kerið

Next stop is an extinct volcano called “Kerið”. In the picture you can see what remains of this cone shaped volcano, which erupted 800 years (or more) ago and after doing so collapsed in on itself.

What is left is the banks of the volcano, and a natural lake in the middle. We hiked around the outside of the volcano and then around the other craters that could be spotted around the site and then came back to the car.Leggi altro
