  • Tōshō-gū

    23 januari 2020, Japan ⋅ ☁️ 6 °C

Main site in Nikkō is the UNESCO word heritage temple Tōshō-gú, a lavish Shintō complex set in an idyllic natural setting was the place within which Tokugawa Ieyasu (who ruled Japan and established the first shogun and founder of Japan’s last feudal military government)- fascinating for a history buff. The site now sits as a shrine for him and his wife, both of which are buried in the complex on top of a large hill.

The main sites at the complex are the five-stories pagoda, the grand Honji-dō (famous crying dragon) and many many more!

  • Kabukicho

    24 januari 2020, Japan ⋅ ⛅ 11 °C

Spending my finally night at Kabukicho, exploring the beautiful neon-lit streets of this city within Tokyo city! It’s also famous for being part of Tokyo’s red light-district- though this mainly extends to women wearing maid costumes while serving you tea and cakes.Meer informatie
