    February 26, 2019 in Portugal ⋅ ☀️ 16 °C

  • Porto City Centre

    February 26, 2019 in Portugal ⋅ ☀️ 18 °C

After a coffee to wake me up I’ve began the day exploring the city centre. With the weather expected to be 24/26*C today I am taking full advantage and exploring as much of the city as possible.

  • More exploring!

    February 26, 2019 in Portugal ⋅ ☀️ 18 °C

This time I walked just a way from the city centre to see two beautiful churches, the first (with the pictures of inside) Igreja do Carlo. But the one that is the most well known is its neighbour Carmelitas Chruch, this is because of the beautiful blue and white tile decoration on the side of the building.

The churches are set on a beautiful square with the monument to the world wards in the middle, it really is a beautiful place!

  • Graham's Port Tour!

    February 26, 2019 in Portugal ⋅ ⛅ 20 °C

Picked mainly because it has the same name as my Dad, but also because the tour is meant to be the best in Porto and it did not disappoint! We started with an introduction to how Porto in manufactured in the Douro valley a couple of hundred kilometres from Porto. It then focused on how the port is left to do its thing in the barrels (it was all to do with science and technical thing) didn’t make much sense to me but however they do it it tastes amazing!!!Read more

  • Dinner!

    February 26, 2019 in Portugal ⋅ ⛅ 15 °C

For dinner it is a typical Portuguese dish called Francesinha, it was basically croque monsieur but on steds! With steak, ham, sausage and spicy ham all piled between a nice toasty loaf, topped with cheese and then a tomato and beer sauce poured on top and typically served with chips! It was amazing!!!Read more
