Early morning start

3:30am start for a flight is never a good start to the day... it was a real struggle but I made it on time for my 6am flight!
Coffee is needed!

9:30 and I’ve already made it into the city centre, not bad going at all, I’ve found myself a coffee shop to start the day off right!
Porto City Centre

After a coffee to wake me up I’ve began the day exploring the city centre. With the weather expected to be 24/26*C today I am taking full advantage and exploring as much of the city as possible.

This time I walked just a way from the city centre to see two beautiful churches, the first (with the pictures of inside) Igreja do Carlo. But the one that is the most well known is its neighbourBaca lagi

Stumbled across this garden completely by accident, and I’m so glad I did it is just beautiful!!
Sé de Porto (Porto Cathedral)

First proper stop and it’s for the Porto Cathedral, this amazing Romanesque Church, with amazing gothic architecture inside was simply stunning!
First beer!

Well after walking around Porto for the past 5 hours it would be rude not to have a beer with an amazing view!
More walking and Lunch!

Exploring the other side of Porto and a spot of lunch! I also found the famous Sandeman!
Graham's Port Tour!

Picked mainly because it has the same name as my Dad, but also because the tour is meant to be the best in Porto and it did not disappoint! We started with an introduction to how Porto in manufacturedBaca lagi
Dinner!

For dinner it is a typical Portuguese dish called Francesinha, it was basically croque monsieur but on steds! With steak, ham, sausage and spicy ham all piled between a nice toasty loaf, topped withBaca lagi
Custard Tarts

Portuguese classic Pastéis de Nata (Custard Tarts), hand made at the cafe these were seriously, seriously nice!!
More walking around Porto!

Clérigos tower

Time to climb the Clérigos Tower, at over 220 steps it was a hard slog but I managed it hahaha! It had beautiful views of the whole of Porto and before climbing had a museum about Catholicism inBaca lagi
I found a hidden Gem!

I actually found a hidden gem, £3 for all of this and the food was amazing!!!

Stopped for beer after more exploring and walking nearly 13KM, this one came recommended by a friend and it didn’t disappoint, the views were amazing!!

Climbed to the top of the other side of Porto for more amazing views of the bridge and the port houses on the other side of the river!!!
