  • Clashnessie Falls

    May 31, 2021 in Scotland ⋅ ☀️ 17 °C

Light stroll to see the Clashnessie Falls in the town of… you guessed it Clashnessie. The falls were stunning however, the lack of rain meant there was much less water flowing over the waterfall. Some dodgy moments of trying to find them though meaning a u-turn on a single track dirt road, but we found a place to park and the path to the falls in the end! All part of the funRead more

    June 1, 2021 in Scotland ⋅ ☁️ 17 °C

Beinn Eighe is the place for our next place to explore, Amelia and I weren’t up for the 13KM mountain trail so opted for the 4km woodland trail that hugged the mountain, offering amazing views out onto Loch Maree. After returning from the trail we set up the stove and popped on the whistling kettle and headed down to skim stones on the lake.Read more

Bealach-na-bà a winding single track mountains road located in the Applecross peninsula, it is the third highest road in Scotland rising up 626m above sea level and is labelled as one of the most scenic drives in the world! It is not for the faint hearted with very tight hairpin bends which switch back and forth up the hillside with gradients approaching 20%. • Eilean Donan Castle

    June 1, 2021 in Scotland ⋅ ☁️ 18 °C

Eileen Donan is a small island with a beautiful castle on top, it is one of the most recognised castles in Scotland and probably appeared on more shortbread tins and whiskeys than any other. The site has had a castle on it since 13th Century however, the castle that sits on the island now is a 20th century deconstruction due to the old castle being destroyed.Read more
