    1st night

    Dec 7–9, 2025 in Egypt ⋅ ☀️ 68 °F

Arrived at my Hotel the central Cairo in downtown cairo. The place is sketch from the outside, there isn't even a sign on the street. You have to go through this weird alley and then up some stairs before you even enter the building. Everyone is super friendly here.Read more

  • Moved to the Dahab Hostel

    Dec 9–13, 2025 in Egypt ⋅ ⛅ 66 °F

Took an Uber to my new residence of a few days. The driving here is absolutely insane. The vehicles def have the right away. I almost got plowed over a couple times crossing the street but I think I have the hang if it now. This place is great, I can't get over how genuinely friendly everyone is. There isn't any fake BS. It's nice not to have to deal with thatRead more

  • Camping in the white and black Desert

    Dec 10–11, 2025 in Egypt ⋅ 🌙 52 °F

Left the hostel early this morning with a guy I met at the hostel who's from Germany. We had a group of people from all over, the 2 guides from Egypt, 2 from Japan, 2 from India, 1 from south Korea, 1 from Germany and myself. It was a really great time. Sitting on the ground in the desert eating dinner cooked on the fire and breaking bread between 7 nations.Read more

  • Jaz pyramids resort

    Dec 13–14, 2025 in Egypt ⋅ ⛅ 68 °F

Checked out of the hostel and Took an Uber to meet up with my tour group at the Jaz pyramid resort. Ubers and Google maps isn't very accurate here so it takes some getting use to. All the addresses are basically within a block. Nothing is exact here. So I feel I've been lucky the couple times I've taken an uber spotting my ride. Traffic is insane here. I have an international driver's permit but I will not be using it here. I do not want to die. I'm hopeing I have the right location. Tmrw the pyramids!Read more

  • The Great Pyramids & Sphinx

    Dec 14–15, 2025 in Egypt ⋅ ☁️ 57 °F

So we started the tour by visiting the Great Pyramids and the Sphinx at the Giza Plateau,
before heading to Sakkara to visit the Step Pyramid, the first completed pyramid in Egypt, as well as ancient
Pharaonic tombs. Scammers weren't as bad as I'd been told but 1 still got me. I can't believe what I'm seeing. It just feels unreal after seeing this on tv my whole life. I think my favorite view is about mid distance...just gives them some context of how massive they are.

  • Abu Simbel

    Dec 16–17, 2025 in Egypt ⋅ 🌙 57 °F

Woke up at 330 to drive within 20 miles of the Sudan border to Visit Abu Simbel - the Sun Temple of Ramses the Great. This place was Absolutely amazing. The crowd really sucked though but it's hard to get away from that at any site here so far. Afterword we came back for lunch on the ship and set sail down the Nile. First overnight on this beast while it's moving. I'm having flashbacks of when I took the fairy to Alaska when I was 20Read more

  • Kom Ombo & the Crocidile Meuseum

    Dec 16–17, 2025 in Egypt ⋅ 🌙 64 °F

After setting sail we had tea on the sun deck. We sailed for about an hour til we reached the temple of Kom Ombo. It was refreshing to see a sight at night and just a couple hundred yard walk of the ship. This site was also incredible. These sites are blowing my mind. After the museum we set sail for Luxor.Read more
