Family farmlet

This was the most lovely place to stay. Just 5 minutes out of Russell/15 from Nelson, Jill and Ian are retired Salvation Army officers that retired to this area. They have 4 acres and a small farm and were exceedingly kind and welcoming. We spent ages chatting with them and learning about the area and their animals and butterflies. Florence insisted on giving Ian hugs whenever she could. We spent too much time exploring the Nelson area and ended up with only pizza hut open for dinner so we ate pizza in the dark. And then Florence was so overtired she couldn't fall asleep and kept popping up in the windows going "hi guys!". I was also tired and found it so hilarious I was crying from laughing.Leggi altro
