    At Sam's recommendation we drove further along the Dart River. Our plan was to sleep at Lake Sylvan but the road was closed due to flooding and apparently the campsite was full of sandflies anyway. Our motivation to explore Dart River anyway was because there are areas you can drive onto the riverbed and see how clear the water is. We found one area and got out and explored. The water was cloudy and then would get filtered through rocky areas and be beautiful and clear. The mud was almost shiny it had such fine pieces of rock in it.
