Starlight Coastal Train Ride to Monterey

Our Starlight trip was fun. Our gently rocking train and the beautiful moving scenery featured gently rolling hills, ocean vistas, and open farm land.

We arrived at the San Luis Obispo train station where we caught our coach that had delivered us to Union Station, for the final leg of today's journey ending at the Portola Hotel & Spa in downtown Monterey. This was a very nice hotel, perfectly situated within walking distance of the Old Fisherman's Wharf and downtown.
