    So glad we got to stop here, the water was pretty rough that day so it was up in the air a bit. Cool remote islands that are a British territory, so feels a bit like England. Lots of penguins and sheep, and about 3700 people.Read more

    There are grills everywhere you lookThey're restoring a lot of their older buildings, this one looks especially coolHad a really great meal here, the owner (?) was very friendlyGrilled sweet potato, chimichurri, like 9 kinds of bread with chicken cheese spread, and local wineBeef and lamb are a huge part of the culture down here, and they definitely know how to cook it

    Uruguay was the biggest surprise so far - great place, I'm impressed! Fantastic food and architecture, friendly people, and safe enough to wander around a bit. One downside is it's relatively expensive, but I'd love to come back one day.Read more

    Salvation Islands

    Our stop here at Devil's Island has been canceled unfortunately, so this is as close as we're going to get to this famous French penal colony from the 19th-20th centuries. I was mostly looking forward to the monkeys.

    Hello from Barbados! Everything's going well so far, had a nice day checking out this south Caribbean island.

    Since I don't have internet on the ship, my posts here will be delayed a bit. I think my routine is going to be to take photos as I visit a place, get back to the ship that night and relax, and then the next day I'll go through the pictures and make a post. But by then we'll usually be back at sea, so I'll have to wait until we get to the following port before I can upload them (unless we stay close to the shore and cell towers).
