Day 8 Learning Counted Cross Stitch

    June 17, 2021 in Guatemala ⋅ ☁️ 68 °F

    •Kids had Pop-Tarts for breakfast
•While I had 2 zoom calls, the kids played with their toys
    •David still not feeling well.
•Before lunch, I started teaching David cross stitch
•I found a simple project with 3 hearts and a verse. He cross stitched one long line then 1 heart. And that was enough for the day.
•Ate tuna fish sandwiches for lunch and finished the ice cream from the other day
•Elizabeth took a two hour nap while David laid on the couch rested
•Elizabeth woke up happy rested and ready to tackle the world
•I heard some children’s voices outside so we all put our shoes on and walked around the block
•As we walked I noticed bicycles in the carport, hoping to find one small enough for Elizabeth
•Israel and Pedro were two neighborhood boys that wanted to play with David
•Still with fever, we said “maybe tomorrow”, then Elizabeth said in her southern draw, ” I want to play with those boooys”
•Drove to doctors office to get free samples of medication for David, then back home
•Supper and the last half of “Beethoven”
