• Day 12/13 Sea Day & Lisbon (25/26)

    November 16, 2024 in Portugal ⋅ ☁️ 70 °F

Our Friday port was canceled because of high winds to tender in. Glenn and I had a good breakfast in the dining room then we got our “envelopes” ready for Darla -excursions we will have in Africa. And I addressed several left over thankyou/Thanksgiving notes to give to Tracy to deliver back in the USA.

We had a good nap, then steak dinner at Cagneys. We watched the closing program and had dessert with Mark and Tracey up on 11

We had a lively visit with Traci and Jonathan Shoemaker. Traci is Mark and Jeannie Hoopers’ daughter. The Hoppers were my youth directors while I was a teenager at Northwest Bible Church back in the ther passing 1970s. Because of Mark and Jeannie’s influence and their love for missions, I became a missionary. So it was neat to spend a few hours with Traci and Jonathan. We talked about life, MKs and the passing of Jeannie 2 years ago. Yes there were tears. We also talked about mother passing earlier this year.

Glenn and I took a Hop on Hop Off bus around the beautiful Lisbon.

We returned to run into Darla and Rick who are joining us the rest of our cruise.
