    Heading to Guatemala

    We drove into Dallas and visited dad. Forgot to take my routine selfie photo. Then ran some errands and stayed at Quality Inn near the airport.

    Cold weather coming. Glenn did some Ubering. Got a good nights rest, then early morning shuttle to DFW.

    Unusual long lines at TSA. Then 1.5 hours at The Club. 4 times the Gate changed. Upon arrival at our correct gate. I got an upgrade to 2A wow. God is good!

    Dallas weather was blistering C.O.L.D! It took an hour to get the plane de ice.

    Visiting missionaries

    After breakfast and zoom c as lol with Virginia and Linda, we headed to the frame store then over to visit Bob and Ann’s place. Their daughter Trudy was visiting.

    We stopped at Dollar City store. It reminded me of the Japanese store that Darla lived so much.

    We had lunch with Paul and Ruth in Antigua.

    It started to rain as we drove on the Pan American Hiway. Cleared up as we got to Panajachel.    Read more

    Day in Panajachel

    I watched the sunrise. Beautiful with the volcanoes showing the relief.

    We had a relaxing morning here. I was working on the name and list for the missionary 2.0 event on March 4. Then we needed a break, so we walked down to The Deli for breakfast.

    While setting g breakfast we started talking to one gal that was touring Central America. She had toots from India but quit her job in England and was just traveling.

    Glenn and I walked to the lake then leisurely strolled enjoying the beautiful weather while watching people.

    Intermission started in the evening. We had dinner with Natalie and listened to her journey about transferring to Mexico.    Read more

    2 days in Panajachel

    I really didn’t spend a lot of time with taking photos.

    We did see Wilfred Johnson, the Henrique’s and the Sywulkas (forgot to take photo) plus Natalie and Sarah Johnson

    I spent much of Saturday on a huge project for Phil Burks. And the. Again on Monday morning at the Barcelo hotel.

    Good conference. We had a long day on Sunday. We went to the old San Kris mall, Dollar City and grocery store to get an apple. Then we took an Uber from Steve’s house to the hotel. It was nice to use his car for the extended weekend.    Read more

    3score & Cemetery

    We took dad to 3Score & more. Then left early and drove down “home”. It has exactly been 1 year to the day since mom has died.

    Glenn and I drove dad to the cemetery. We purchased 4 stems of flowers to place on the grave sites. (Mom, Aunt Dick, Odis/Polly, Grandmother Marr/Granddaddy Marr)

    We spotted Huggins walking down the road and dad wanted to take some backgrounds through the country. He said “You can’t see my memories” as we drove around.

    Jack in the box for dinner and we were home as the sun was setting!    Read more
