    Another early morning flight.

    Today, we head to Phoenix, Arizona to attend Bill Sparks ‘ memorial service on Saturday in Prescott, Arizona.

    28 minutes from wheels up to wheels down (Tyler to DFW)

    Well, I guess I posted too early. We didn’t leave. Had to return to terminal so the employees could clean up a mess. Maybe someone vomited in the plane and not in the vomit bag. Ugh.    Read more

    Bill Sparks memorial service

    We picked up Wally and Karen at their home and drove 2 hours up to Prescott.

    The memorial service was very God honoring. Bill was a man of prayer. He loved to sing. He loved animals.

    There was a nice reception. A couple from Guatemala that spoke and Glenn did the translations.Read more

    Waymo ride Driverless car

    After some doing, we finally learned how to use the Waymo app, driver-less Uber car.

    We tried to get it from the rental car station but that is not on the route.

    Then we went to the SkyTrain and stopped at 44th street stop. I let Glenn tell Waymo where we were, but Glenn didn’t have the current location. It doesn’t use “the location finder” like Uber uses. So we had to call support and get a refund and then try to figure out out to use the app and the 4 locations that are available for pickup at PHX.

    We continued on the SkyTrain to the other end of the airport. Then to order another Waymo at the correct spot.

    We waited 10 minutes. The ride was smooth, fast, fun and different. The directions to unlock the door from my iPhone and then I was able to sit upfront. Glenn video the whole 6 minute ride that cost us 13 dollars of fun.

    Summary: we rode in a car that had NO driver. Now let that sink in.    Read more
