Reserva Ecológica Costanera Sur

From the busy and full of people city we have taken walk to beautiful nature reserve that is located right behind the new business centre. Immediately we have found ourselves in the middle of partly jungle and partly marsh land. The entire reserve was created to protect huge amount of birds that have found their home there. For me, the absolute highlight has been spotting a hummingbird! Well, it was Petr who spotted him first and with words: "co je zač tenhle malej šmejd", pointed at him. I have stood about 10 minutes under the tree he was flying around trying to take a good picture of him. I did not really manage. They are pretty fast, fascinating little creatures. An interesting view has offered to us walking back when between the landscape has risen the highrise buildings from steal and glass.Read more
