Punta del Este

On our way back to Buenos Aires, we have stopped in Punta del Este. It suppose to be a seaside resort full of hotels and pristine apartments. To be honest, not sure what is all the fuss about. The fingers pointing out of the sand is rather weird thing. As they are still only building a pavement to get there on foot, it is rather tricky to get there. The ocean does not look as nearly as clean as it was in Punta del Diablo and the town looks like Bulgaria in October, just way more expensive. The bus station has limited WiFi for 15 minutes and looks quite shabby. Luckily we have here only couple of hours before we get the bus to Colonia del Sacramento and then ferry to Buenos Aires.Read more
