    Archaeological site of a great importance from around 12th century. While part of the Inca empire, it has been capital of the Quebrada de Humahuaca. Within last 50 years it has been largely rebuilt and reflects it's former glory. We visited on Monday as we could take an advantage of the free entrance. With a storm approaching from the mountains, it had a very special atmosphere.Read more
