Crater Lake Day!

Enjoyed a cool (!) morning, long sleeves and all! Packed up lunches for a day in the national park via jeep. (This was a day off for Auggie, he got to stay and just sleep through his day.) First a local stop, drove through the town of Prospect to view they're Rouge River gorge view point. Really pretty, beautiful old Bridge with a great drop off. Then on to Crater. Spent the whole day driving the rim, enjoying "several" overlooks, and got in a little hiking! Beautiful sunshine, manageable crowds (always found parking) lunched with a view of Wizards Island, and ended our visit with an ice cream stop on the way back to camp. Great shower in newly built restrooms, BBQ chicken and wine to end the day.Læs mere
