    Blue Mounds State Park

Beautiful morning! This state park is sort of different because they actually have a bison herd grazing on this chunk of protected prairie. We saw them off in a corner of the fenced in range.

VoyageurIs it called Blue Mounds because of ancient native Americans building the mounds? I’ve come across mounds in Alabama & southern Illinois, ancient & built by native Americans. Pretty scenery. Love the quarry stone, I wonder why it was abandoned, such beautiful stone.
