• Lower Loop #3: Riverside Geyser

    After walking about a mile and a half, maybe two I did finally get to Riverside geyser. I had expected the geyser to "to blow" at about 1:00 p.m. however I had to wait about another 30 minutes. This geyser was not as predictable (?) as the park suggested.

    Regardless of the delay, this geyser did not disappoint. This geyser is named Riverside for the very reason that when it does blow all the water pretty much pours into the adjacent stream. After having a chance to see it go, I had to leave before it stopped because this geyser will blow for about 20 minutes! I was due back at the visitor center to meet Tom and to move on to our next stop.
