Colombres to Corao

Day 2 - 53 km, leaving the car behind on the campsite and starting our mini tour. The first part followed the Camino de Santiago but we didn't see many pilgrims. After spending €1.30 on a coffee and the same on a baquette we climbed the first of two mountains, total of 1040 metres. Cycling up a mountain doing 5k in 40 minutes is not at all fast but you still get there and it is quicker and eadier then walking! First one was a proper zig zag up and over, second one more of a gorge pass. It did have a nice long wide descent to get a good 50k plus. We passed many Asturias hórreos, grain barns on stilts, to keep the family's food supply dry and free from vermin!
