    Sad to leave the beautiful Daisetsuzan area but we will exchange it for Shikotsu-Toya National Park. Passing by Furano, the centre of Hokkaido, and making a stop at Farm Tomita. In the summer all the lavender fields are blooming and it is all about lavender: pot-pourri, cheesecake, handicrafts and even soft ice cream. We are heading to 2 caldera lakes, Shikotsu-ko and Toya-ko, with stunning views on a few volcanos, e.g. Yotei-zan (aka Ezo-Fuji because of its resemblance to Mt Fuji), Usu-zan and Showa Shin-zan.Read more
