Lombok - Kuta

White sand beaches 🏝, surfers’ 🏄‍♀️ paradise, turquoise bays and home to the second highest volcano 🌋 of Indonesia, welcome to Lombok. Long overshadowed by big brother and neighbour Bali, now it is getting more and more popular, investments coming in and who knows maybe in 20 years, the next Bali.

We stay the first 6 days in Kuta (Mandalika), not to be confused with Kuta Bali, and get (perhaps a bit too??) comfortable in our resort with turtles 🐢 walking around (and fed by Milo), yummie blueberry pancakes 🥞, daily yoga 🧘‍♀️ classes, a lot of attention for the kids from the staff and a huge swimming pool 🏊‍♂️. It doesn’t matter where you explore, east or west from Kuta (Mawan, Tanjung Aan, Selong Belanak), the beaches 🏝, waters 🌊 and views are indeed splendid. Also, no matter where you explore dogs 🐕 all over the place. They are quiet but with rabies around we prefer to keep our distance.Lue lisää
