Villarmentero de Campos

Long day -over 20 miles down. Today was the first day I really didn’t want to put on the backpack and it felt heavy when I did. Leaving town the was a decent climb and then descent back onto the Meseta.
My attitude improved after realizing the climb was easier than expected. But the miles dragged on and I didn’t reach my destination until 5:00. I had to walk this far because there weren’t any rooms in the 2 previous town.
The alburgue I’m staying at is on a farm in an agricultural town. A burro and a goose were drying to eat the pilgrim’s laundry as it dries on the clothes line.Read more
