Discovery trips with Gerhard

On saturday, Gerhard (my collegue) took me to my first internations meeting in Jakarta. It took place at a roof top bar in some hotel in Jakarta. The croud was mixed, a lot of indonesian women (hardly any men) and expats.... some old, white, fat men were also part of the crowd and they tried to chat up the youngest and pretties of the girls. Yikes! I did meet some nice and interesting people, too though. Yesterday, Gerhard and I went to Kemang to look for furniture. It's a very trendy part of Jakarta with lots of stores, cafés and bars. Most of them were closed though. We did find some really nice furniture. Afterwards we had dinner at a Mongolian restaurant - some kind of hot pot. Gerhard got his beloved Bintang (beer) and I tried out the famous (???) mushroom drink... it wasn't bad at all!Читать далее
