Yogyakarta

The first stop on Valerie’s and my trip this year was Yogyakarta. We almost missed the flight as we headed to the wrong airport. I'd never given even considered that we were leaving from the small domestic airport in the south of Jakarta, but when we arrived at Soekarno-Hatta that's what we were told. We hopped in a taxi and honestly, I didn't think we'd arrive on time. But we did :-) After a one-hour-flight, we arrived in Yogya. Since I already knew the city, we did not do too much sightseeing but enjoyed strolling through the city instead. We did, however, visit the beautiful Tamansari – the so-called water palace.
