Enjoying the evening

I couldn't get enough of the views of the jungle and Tangkoko Vulcano. The food at our place was delicious, but my personal highlight was the bathtub.
Morning jungle trekking

Once again we got up very early. This time we went on a trekking tour in the national park to watch monkeys, birds and insects. We walked for more than 9 kilometers, but it was worth it.
Lunch and afternoon break

Afternoon jungle trekk

After resting for most of the day we went back into the jungle at around 4:30 pm to look for Tarsiers. And we got lucky! Such cute and interesting creatures and definitely worth the 6 km we trekked.
On our way to Lembeh Strait

The next morning we were off to our next location: Lembeh Strait.
Arriving at Lembeh Strait

Enjoyed a quiet afternoon at Cocotinos, our resort opposite Lembeh Island.

Visiting Tomohon Market

After a yummy breakfast, driver Edwin took us to the infamous Tomohon market. You can get almost any animal on this market: snakes, bats and even dogs. Not something that one can easily digest.

Exploring the environment of Tomohon

We left the market and Edwin took us to see the sights surrounding Tomohon. We got a bit unlucky with the weather but tried to make the best of it.
At Lake Tondano

We continued to Lake Tondano where we took pictures of the landscape and scenery and had lunch.
On the way back

On the way back to Tomohon we stopped at Linow Lake which changes its colour... but only when the sun is shining. Nevertheless we enjoyed the beautiful scenery and the many shades of green.
