    Getting to know each other

    I had heard so many positive reports on the 4-day-boatrip from Lombok to Labuan Baju, that I absolutely wanted to try it out myself. I would not regret it! I was lucky to find myself on the best boat: Met so many great people from Canada, GB and Germany and had so much fun with them on this trip. On the first day, we didn't get very far, but we got to know each other quite well and enjoyed a first beautiful sunset on our way to Flores. For this we hiked up a hill on a very small island.Leer más

    Enjoying sea life - surving sea sickness

    The second day started with a beautiful sunrise, some snorkelin and a trip to a waterfall. What followed was 17 hours on the sea which resulted in pretty much everybody being sea sick. Although it was pretty horrible at times it was also hilarious, with many of us lying down in places we'd usually not chose to sleep. In the end nobody went overboard and we all felt much better in the morning.Leer más

    Arriving at Komodo National Park

    What an amazing first day at Komodo national park. We were lucky enough to see two mantas, even though they were quite deep below us, we encountered some Komodo dragons who fortunately had already eaten (and thus caused no threat to us) and we got to enjoy the famous pink beach, which wasn't really pink but who had some amazing corals we could explore quile snorkeling.Leer más

    Time to say good bye

    After some more Komodo dragons on another island, an afternoon party on deck with lots of dancing to Abba and jumping into the ocean we all went to our hostels and hotels and got changed before heading out again for our goodbye dinner party which also included a lot of dancing - this time to latin American music. I'm happy to have met so many wonderful people and making some friends and sad to leave them behind. What an amazing experience!Leer más
