• The Tok Cutoff

    18. elokuuta 2017, Yhdysvallat ⋅ 🌫 14 °C

An unlikely name for a section of the highway through the Matasta mountains to Tok. The terrain has changed. Marshy swamps and stunted black spruce forest fill the valley floor where there is permafrost. The trees are stunted because of the permafrost in this area. The tree line is clearly visible on the Rocky Mountain slopes. This is a hunting area that is dotted with many cabins set back in the woods. Where there is soil - white spruce, cottonwood, aspen, birch and alder trees grow.Lue lisää
