    The Residenz is the largest city palace in Germany. Today's building was built between 1825 and 1835, although there has been a palace on this site since 1385. The complex covers 130 rooms and 10 courtyards. It was severely damaged in WW2 bombing raids but was reconstructed in the 1980's. Like all European palaces, the level of opulence is obscene.Read more
