Grossglockner High Alpine Area

Amazingly warm for this high alpine area at more than 2,407m (in the carpark). It's well above the treeline and from the viewing point we can see 14 mountains higher 3,300m. The highest being Grossglockner at 3,798m - the highest mountain in Austria. There are several glaciers in this small area and all are retreating.Read more
