Otzi at the Archaeological Museum

The big drawcard for us is the museum that houses the story of Otzi, the mummified Iceman who was found by 2 hikers in 1991. He was a well-preserved specimen of the late Stone Age. He had been deep-frozen in ice and snow more than 5,300 years ago. We viewed him through a window in his refrigerated cell. Several items of his clothing and personal hunting items were also found nearby. No photos are allowed at all - so these came from the brochure.Read more
