    Set amongst the Chugach mountains on Prince William Sound is Valdez - a fisherman's paradise in these calm, deep waters. There are around 4,000 people who live in this ice-free port. The Alaska Oil Pipeline finishes here. Crude Oil from Prudhoe Bay on the Arctic shores of Alaska comes overland for 800 miles and 11 pumping stations to reach here where it is then put onto tankers shipped south.Read more
