Sakhalin Island - our first look

As we travel to the capital, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, we pass through a very rural forested area. We pass several army bases, a reindeer farm and several Dachau. The Dachau are summer houses (cabins) which range from shacks to full size houses. They are for weekends and holidays. People come here and grown their own food or forage in the extensive forests.Read more
