    Sailing day through one of Europe’s most dramatic natural wonders. The spectacular narrow gorges slice through the Carpathian Mountains to the north and the Balkans to the south. The Iron Gate Dam was built in 1972 and impacted the ecology on either side of the river. Still there is an abundance of biodiversity - perch, catfish, sturgeon and salmon are found in the water.
