A city on the rivers and canals

Bamberg is a city bisected by rivers and canals. This city marks the end of the Main-Danube Canal. One of the few cities in Germany not destroyed by WW2 bombing, Bamberg has the largest collection of retained mediaeval structures in the well-preserved Old Town.
