Wertheim Castle

The red sandstone castle overlooks the town. Begun in the 12th century, it was continuously expanded until the 17th century. It was destroyed during the early 1600’s. In 1995, the castle was purchased by the town. The facade overlooking the river is intact; the ruins are visible from within the town streets.Leer más
