A trip to the American Musuem of natural history in NYC.
We didn't see Ben Stiller though.

I'm obsessed with the idea of dollar pizza. After the museum we found a dollar (well 99¢) pizza place.
It was $1/slice and then add 1 for meat toppings.
A deal of $2.75 for 2 slices and a soda.

We got to our next hotel earlier than we could check in (as we had to check our of our last one already)
Once we rocked up, there seemed to be a film studio set up in the reception/lobby.

We finally got to pickup the truck from the port!
A bit of admin and lots of waiting around. But it's back with us!
Testing boxes

When we shipped the truck. They wouldn't allow us to take our boxes. So we had to go on a hunt today to find new storage boxes that work.

Now stocking up on camp essentials. New stove, camp cooking set, plates, forks, etc.
Unfortunately they did not have any suitable camp chairs or tables for us! On to the next camp store.
First fuel stop

When we shipped the truck. It had to have just under 1/4 a tank, but more than red. So it needed filling up before we hit the road tomorrow and head out the city properly!

We went to Costco hunting for camp chairs. Ended up with dinner

Great little spot. We missed the talk on bears, but did get to see the talk on other wildlife by a very enthusiastic park ranger. She loved to strike her imaginary tail
First hike

We pulled up to camp site #3 in the Great Smokey mountains.
Setup and tried to dry out our tent and awning whilst the rain has stopped and Laura goes and tries out the warm showers on site!
A bigger hike

This hike was a short drive from our camp site. We got there early (which was good as there was plenty of parking and nobody on the trail) and enjoyed the hike to this waterfall.

A nice little camp site. We got here and the camp host wasn't around so a guy who I think works there, kind of helped us out.

I finally got to setup a hammock!
I've always wanted to setup a hammock but have never gotten around to it. But I found a couple of good trees here and tried it out!

Camp #7 - New Orleans

It was a marina and rv Park. It wasn't the nicest place we've stayed but it was safe enough.
