Even though we had seen it briefly in the dark and ran past it this morning. We didn't look at the reflecting pool or get up close to it. So we walked back to take a proper look at Capitol.

The crowds here compared to our tourist run this morning are world's apart. I'm glad we got out for a run to see it in a much calmer (and cooler) setting.

After walking 30k steps today in the heat and it being a 40 minute walk back to our hotel, we opt'd in to get a couple of scooters back.

Bus to NYC - Union Station

It was very busy. The queuing to get back down especially!
But it was cool to see the New York skyline at night, including the really dark patch where times square is.
