Bratislava

It's quite a short train trip from Budapest to Bratislava, so I caught it in the morning. Trains in Europe are frequent and accommodating to bikes and wheelchairs.My hostel--the fabulously named "Freddie by Mercury" (because it's near the Mercur Hotel)--was walking distance from the train station, which also serves as a bus terminus. After checking in, I took a bus down to the old part of town, but then followed the many people who seemed to be heading somewhere important. A modern shopping mall, of course! It's on the banks of the Danube--there is a hydrofoil commuter service between Bratislava and Vienna, but it was too early in the season for it to be running yet.Читать далее
