Black Hills May 2024

Today we woke up to snow. We waited for it to stop, around noon, and then went to explore. Our intentions were to go to Cosmos Mystery House, Wonderland Cave, and Deadwood. On our way to Cosmos, we discovered they were closed. We changed directions to go to Wonderland Cave just to discover the road to the cave had its gate closed. So Deadwood it was. We had lunch at Mustang Sally's, then wandered through the shops and found a few treasures. We watched the shootout at Outlaw Square, then went for a drink at Saloon No. 10. While there, we attended the show about Wild Bill Hitchcock. We then wandered through a few more stores, then decided to come back to the cabin.
On our way back, we explored some different roads where we saw an entire herd of elk, a flock of wild turkey, and of course many deer.
When we got to the cabin, the boys went fishing, we had dinner, played Yhazee, and went to bed.Read more
